On the contrary, we aggregate the data in an easily searchable web-based format, so you no longer have to spend hours searching through spreadsheets and emails for bonds. The multiple filtering tools will allow you to search through only offerings that you are interested in, and under whichever search criteria you choose.

How accurate is the data?
The data shows the same offering emails you receive from dealers, but with multiple filtering capabilities, finding what you’re looking for is infinitely more efficient.

What type of search criteria do you offer on your platform?
There are over 60 different filtering functions including: Asset class; Principal and Interest Type; Coupon; Average life; WAM; WAC; Collateral Coupon and Type, etc. We offer ongoing training and support for the use of our search functions and all bond searches can be saved for future research.

Can I export the data I pull from your platform?
Yes. Our system allows exporting to Excel, Text and Email/Bloomberg.

Can I also see historical offering data?
Yes. If you find a bond you are interested in you can simply click on its history to see what price the bond was offered at, going back up to 4 years.

Can I receive auto-updates when there is an offering that matches a bond in my portfolio?
Yes. MBS Source has simple functionality that allows you to receive auto-updates via email if there’s a bond that matches a bond in your portfolio.

Can I save specific bond searches?
Yes, you can easily save searches so you don’t have to re-compose your filters for each search. You can also have these searches automatically emailed to you for added convenience.

Can my firm integrate your data into our system?
Yes. We do provide a data feed service that can be customized to your needs.

Are you also a pricing service?
No, we are not a traditional pricing service. However, with our extensive coverage, and the fact that all offerings are shown at street prices, our clients use our data to more accurately valuate their portfolios.

Does my firm have to install hardware to subscribe to your service?
You gain access through our website with an assigned password, without any hardware having to be installed at your firm by MBS Source.

How is your service different than Bloomberg?
We do not provide extensive analytics services like Bloomberg or Intex. Our clients typically use their existing systems for in-depth bond analysis.
